Welcome and thank you for visiting my campaign website. I am hopeful that the website will provide you valuable information about my background, my experience and a sense of how I will perform as your Delegate.
It is my experience as a small business owner that has led me to be more politically aware and involved. Most people are not aware that for every dollar they spend at a typical retail store, 43 cents goes to satisfy over 27 Federal, State and Local taxes.
As opposed to looking for ways to cut our tax burden, most elected officials look for more ways to spend our money and more ways to tax our citizens. At what point is too much!

I am running for Delegate to reverse this very disturbing trend.
- 1. I believe in honesty in taxation.
If the government is going to tax you, you should have the right to know what the tax is and what it is paying for.
- 2. I believe that the State Government must live within its means.
Recently, our Legislature embraced a new liberal philosophy of Spend and Tax. Previously, if the government voted for a new or improved program, they would vote for a corresponding tax to pay for that program. Now, our Legislature simply votes for more spending – with no concern how it will be paid for. When the bill comes due – a few years later – the government states that there is a "structural deficit." This is why politicians are not trusted.
As your Delegate, I will treat your tax dollars with respect, look for efficiencies in State Government, seek ways to reduce spending, and ultimately, ways to reduce your tax burden.
Less taxes create private sector jobs, which creates a larger tax base, which creates a more prosperous and vibrant community for all. Greater governmental spending and programs create less private sector jobs, a smaller tax base, less competition, higher prices and higher taxes.
In these troubled economic times, I am hopeful that you will exercise your right to vote and vote for fiscally responsible candidates. This generation needs to leave a legacy of a better Maryland, not an indebted Maryland.
